TOPIC: Launching trolley

Launching trolley 2 years, 3 months ago #118

I've just purchased ISO 571 from Falmouth in Cornwall and took it all the way up the road to Aberdeen!

It's all good apart from the trolley which has sheared at the axle/gunwhale support. It's been repaired before so I figure it'd be worth getting another trolley? Any spare that could be couriered?

Thanks

Chris

Hi,
I will have an extra road trolley at the beginning of Decembre. Would you be interrested? Used but in very good condition.
I reckon around £250 would do the trick.

New Trolley Price

That's very kind of you but brand new trolleys are actually less than that. I'm really looking for something that somebody doesn't need more locally that may do.

Otherwise I will investigate whether it's worth my while welding/attmepting to repair the one I have.

Thanks

I'm at cross purposes here, is it a Road base to hook onto the car, or a launching trolley to go in the water? A Road trolley sounds like a trailer to go on the back of the car but can go in the water?

Still looking for a trolley!

Re:Launching trolley 1 year, 8 months ago #298

I placed an order with Mersea trailer in the middle of march and have still not received my trolley as they have not yet begun even building it. I am at my wits end, the sailing season is well underway yet I have no time on the water. Can ANYONE help me?

Do any other trolleys (eg Laser 4000) fit a 275 road base?

I can travel to collect,

Many thanks Chris.

Give Rooster a call. That's all I can say really. They have been brilliant towards the class so far. Then if they can get one, and you can order it online, do us a favour and click the Rooster icon on the bottom of the left nav bar and order that way. The ISO class will earn some commission that way.

Thanks Pete, I tried Rooster but they suggested a chandlers in Scotland where I live. Am now in the process of trying Bosun's Locker near Edinburgh who are agents of Topper. Do you know if the buzz/boss/spice trolleys would fit without adjustment?

Buzz - no. Boss - different kind of trolley and longer. Spice - not sure.
