Where were all the ISO's? We were once again the only ISO at Filey. Maybe some where detered by the forecast - light winds and rain - maybe a total lack of interest!
However, as usual the club ran an excellent event with a separate windward/leeward course for the asymetric fleet. Our competition on the water was provided by the Laser 4000's and we had some good close racing with them. The weather forecast proved correct however the rain out in the bay was limited to a short shower on Saturday afternoon. We were suprised then, on returning to the beach to find it deserted and that the sand castles had been flattened by a heavy thunderstorm. Sunday was overcast but the wind filled in after the first race to allow us to stretch our legs with some good downwind blasts. Pleased to report that we managed to hold off the 4000's and cement our mid-fleet mediocrity with sixth place. Full results at;
