Right, anybody want some free training for the day? Plans are for it to be held on the Friday before the inlands - 1st October.

There are no limits on numbers for this one. Please let us know here.

Do you have to be an Associate or Full Member to attend this training.

Minimum membership is Associate for training events. However, the intention of the FREE training is to encourage people to then try out their new found skills at the Inlands event on the Saturday and Sunday. The Inlands will require full membership for either the Helm or the Crew.

The training will be free in that any day fees per boat, will be paid for by the class. The coach will be giving their time for free.
Trainees will be required to pay their own food, transport and accomodation costs though.

So all in all, £30 Full membership isn't much to ask in the scheme of things.

Don't forget though that both Associate and Full membership ALSO gives you access to a lot of the technical tuning articles such as spreaders settings, extremely detailed crewing and helming articles and many other reports.

Use the Search box (top left of site) for "ISO training weekend", then use the filter for "articles" and "Exact Phrase" for past events.

Petes ISO training is legendary!!

If you are new to the fleet or having problems keeping the mast the right way up you should go!!

He is a great teacher and will film you on the water, so later you can sit in the bar with a beer and watch yourself on the water and learn how to clear up your mistakes

He will also jump in the boat with either the helm or crew and go through the simple steps of tacking and gybing and go through the spinnaker work with u as well!!

The ISO Rig is tricky to learn and get right for the right conditions Pete will help get this right, and help u stay up right so you can have fun blasting and racing!!

Sorry 949 has not been out this year been busy with work and stuff will try harder next year!! Hope everone we know is well!!

I can't get my boat to the training but if anyone has a place free, either end, I'd like to take up the offer.
