TOPIC: Gel Coat
#299
Gel Coat 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I haven ISO 547 in the original white hull with a grey interior. The boat is in need of some minor repairs so does anyone know the RAL or BS color code for the gel coat for this colour combination please ? Alternatively can anyone suggest a reasonably priced source for some for the gel coat in both white and grey ?

Thanks
Kerry

Rooster know the Gel Coat. They have spoken to White Formula and have the spec for it - well that's what I've been informed anyway.

I had the same problem on 678.

I went to Laser Performance @ Lasersailing.com and got a really good match.

Vela grey for the deck
White for the hull

they can also provide the catalyst.

Hope this helps.

I just called Rooster last week and the very helpful Andy supplied Vella grey for the deck of ISO 571 and I can tell you it's a perfect match - if you are worried about colour match they also supply white gelcoat and black pigment with dropper solution for perfect trial and error matching!

One more thing though.... as I ordered by phone they couldn't credit the class assoc with loyalty points.... even retrospectively.
