Hi Visitor,
Thought I'd send you the latest new regarding recent events and upcoming ISO events.
Events:
2010 ISO Eurocup - I'm sure you followed the regular news updates that were fed back to us here in the UK by the folk out there in the sun. Racing was dominated by Team Rooster Sailing - Mike Lillywhite and Mark Riddington, with a first in each race! Congratulations to Team Rooster. Looking at the points for the racing, it appears that the rest of the places were fought intensly for, with only a couple of points seperating the next 4 places.
Oh I'm so looking forward to seeing if Team Rooster can keep up their winning streak at the Inlands next month (not if Team RWO have anything to do with it I'm sure! :D ) Full event report here on www.isoracing.org.uk
Upcoming Events:
Yorkshire Dales SC - 12th September
Windward Leeward Open. Set high up in the Yorkshire Dales (God's own country), lovely scenery and a great place to sail. Enter on the day, first race is at 11:30. Further details on www.isoracing.org.uk
Calshot ISO Open - 25th & 26th September
This year we have moved the Calshot ISO Open to later in the year, we are hoping to get more than 1 days sailing as a result.
There will be 3 races a day, windward / leeward course. Online pre-entry available on www.isoracing.org.uk
Draycote FREE Training - Friday 1st October
Fed up with swiming round your ISO and want to actually sail it? Or, can you sail it, but keep getting beaten over the water by boats on a slower PY? Well this training will help to put all that behind you - guaranteed! Training by several times ISO National Champion, you will get all your ISO questions answered with either verbal or hands on demonstrations. Not bad for FREE!
Yes it is FREE to all Associate members and above. You can easily upgrade your membership via the website - login, click "My Membership Status", then click the "Upgrade / Renew" button.
Still not convinced it's worth the day off work? View past training reports here (I've done the search for you - http://www.isoracing.org.uk )
One request - it would be very helpful if we had our own RYA certified Powerboat Level 2 driver. Anybody available to donate their time and skills and learn how to sail an ISO from a third person perspective? Please get in touch if you can help - training@isoracing.org.uk
