Membership

  • Registered, Logged in, but still see "Register to read more..." buttons

If you have registered successfully and have paid your correct membership fees, then there should be no problems.
If however, as per the pic below; you are logged in as per Circle A but still see buttons as per Circle B, and should be seeing buttons as per Circle C, then this is most probably due to the fact your membership has expired.

    register_to_read_more_problem

Just below Circle A when you are logged in, there is a menu option saying "My Membership Status". Click this and the system shall report your membership expiry date.

    You now have three options:
    1. You can upgrade / renew your membership by clicking the button.
    2. You can leave your membership as expired and not bother renewing Cry
    3. Or if you feel this to be an error then please use the Contact Form on this website to make contact with the membership secretary if you feel this is an error.
When you renew your membership and return back from PayPal, you will have to logout then log back in for your new membership to be shown.
  • Do I have to change my method of payment to PayPal?

You do not have to pay your membership via PayPal.

However, Paypal has its advantages in that it makes the system automatic. If you pay by cheque or Standing Order, then for your subscription status to be updated to Full or Associate member, the class membership department has to be in receipt of your paperwork and this can obviously take a few days. This also applies for renewal time. With Standing order, the membership secretary needs to check the bank account, then identify who has paid their money, then change that users status on the website.

So no you do not have to pay via Paypal, but it does help things run more smoothly for all concerned.

  • Do I have to own an ISO to register on the site?

Not at all. We welcome everybody with an interest in the class, whether it be a passing interest, looking to buy an ISO or past owners looking to keep in touch.
Basic registration enables you access to the forum and gallery is free!
  • I'm already a class member, do I have to pay again to access the site?

No! Definately not. All you have to do is sign up using the free 1 week access. Then if you could please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  we will check your membership with our paper records and update your account as necessary.

Website

  • Registered, but when trying to login, I'm directed to the Registration Page

    Scenario:

I registered on the website yesterday, received an e_mail asking me to follow a link to confirm my e_mail address, which I did, then got a second mail confirming my registration. When I try to login to make a post on the message board, the website sends me back to the registration page - any thoughts ?

    Cause of Problem:

It happens when the new user doesn't click the last "Continue" button during the registration.

The confusion occurs because the system send out the confirmation email BEFORE the user has totally finished! Not very clever.

    Solution:

You need to inform This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ,  tell them the membership option you signed up to. They will then be able to rectify the problem via the admin part of the site - hopefully!

  • Internet Explorer 8 Known Issues

This site has been designed for earlier versions of IE8. IE8 has better coding than its predecessors, but unfortunately if the coding is set for IE8, then it will definately not work for earlier IE versions!

The site was designed with the following browsers in mind:

    firefox_small

    safarilogo
    Safari

    Safari
    Opera

The site works perfectly well for the above free to download and use browsers.

If you have to use Internet Explorer but fortunately happen to be using the best version (IE 8) then the site runs better with compatibility mode turned on.
To switch it on for ISORacing.org.uk, on the browser toolbar- Tools, Compatibility View.
    or
    Just click the button:
    alt

This will fix (that we know of):
    - The left hand navbar layout
    - Results pop up windows
    - Internal site links.
  • How do I upload a user avatar?

    - Log into the site using your username and password.
    - Click "My Profile" in the Left NavBar OR click "Edit" on the blue "profile is x% complete" under the "Logout" button.
    - At the top of the main window should see a button labelled "Edit".
    - Hover your mouse over this button and two options should be displayed (or 3 if you already have an avatar uploaded.)
    - Click "Update your image" and either upload your own image or select a preloaded one from the list.

Please ensure any images you upload do not exceed 1024x768 pixels.
